I recently moved from downtown Charleston to beautiful Beaufort a little further south where the views of salt marsh and water are expansive and the quiet pace is perfect for studio work , creativity and introspection. Because of its proximity to Charleston, I am able to continue to work with Robert Lange Studio Gallery helping them when they need extra support, I also teach privately at Redux Contemporary Arts Center on King Street.

I take and fill commissions and paint and draw. I am passionate about roses. I grow them, nurture them, and when they reward me with their grace, I sit in the garden and paint them from life.

I am a native of Richmond, Virginia and lived in Macon, Georgia for 37 years raising my children.  I am a teacher of art and I often travel to take Master Classes from some of the world's greatest artists. I'm curious and I'm interested in how to express the world around me. I use many different media from pastel to oil to watercolor to egg tempera. I'm never so happy as I am when I'm making some art or teaching some art. I'm a mother of 3 grown children and from a family of 5 girls.

Recently, I had the honor of being the Curator of Art at The Museum of Arts and Sciences  in Macon, Georgia.  As curator, I had many responsibilities:  to help interpret and preserve the 65  year  old permanent collection, to interview and work with contemporary artists and curate shows, and to bring  art- in all iterations, to our community which serves over 70  counties in Middle Georgia. All things ART- for you and for me- all of us. I wrote about art as well and the blog is called “Reflections on our Collection”.  You can visit my artist interviews at our MAS Instagram TV.

I sit on the Board of Advisors of the Bo Bartlett Center which preserves and shows the magnificent works of Bo Bo Bartlett and other contemporary artists from the region and world at large.

I am available to teach and mentor students and professional artists who want further investigation.

I consider this a very sacred honor. To be in the space of teaching another human being how to access this inner world of creativity, beauty, mystery, through the skills and methods I have gathered from some of the finest artists alive today, is truly holy ground.

I have a life long career in the arts that is helpful to others. I am a devoted advocate of the arts. Please contact me for more info.
