Artist Mother Teacher Curious Person
I am a native of Richmond, Virginia and have lived in Macon, Georgia for 35 years. I am a teacher of art and I often travel to take Master Classes from the world's greatest artists. I'm curious and I'm interested in how to express the world around me. I use many different media from pastel to oil to watercolor to egg tempera. I'm never so happy as I am when I'm making some art or teaching some art. I'm a mother of 3 grown children and from a family of 5 girls. I love roses.
Currently, I have the honor of being the Curator of Art at The Museum of Arts and Sciences here in Macon, Georgia. As curator, I have many responsibilities: to help interpret and preserve the 65 year old permanent collection, to interview and work with contemporary artists and curate shows, and to bring art- in all iterations, to our community which serves over 70 counties here in Middle Georgia. All things ART- for you and for me- all of us. I write about art as well and the blog is called “Reflections on our Collection”. You can visit my artist interviews at our MAS Instagram TV.
I am available to teach and mentor if my schedule permits. I have a life long career in the arts that is helpful to others. Please contact me for more info.
